Dosage Guidelines Mother Tincture (Q) to 1x - 30 to 6x: Three times daily. 200 Potency: Generally once a day for three days, then once a week. 1M (1000) Potency: Once a week. 100,000 or CM Potency: Once every 15 days or once a month. Note: Some practitioners prescribe 200 and 1000 potency medicines three times a day. According to their experience, good results have been observed with this method as well. Acute Conditions: In cases of acute diseases or severe attacks—such as cholera, colic pain, spermatorrhea, or pregnancy complications—the prescribed medicines can be repeated initially at intervals of 10 to 15 minutes. The Philosophy of Creating Homeopathic Prescriptions and Compounds (Based on References) (1) I combine certain medicines to create formulas, but there is a deep philosophy behind this. When medicines with compatible temperaments are combined, they empower each other rather than conflicting. Administering them together creates a more potent prescription. (2) Administering two or three medicines sequentially or combining them into a single prescription is an art acquired through the deep study and analysis of the medicines' temperaments. (3) There is no harm in combining medicines out of necessity to save time, and such prescriptions are useful in emergencies. However, understanding the temperament of each medicine is individually essential because if the single correct remedy is found, there is no better treatment than that. The Logic Behind Compounding: If time is scarce due to daily busyness, medicines are prescribed based on the disease category. Due to time constraints, I have always sought prescriptions that provide quick relief. Based on long experience, these carefully crafted prescriptions work in most cases. However, for any remaining ailments that do not respond, it is necessary to use the standard method (single remedy) mentioned above. Generally, homeopaths adhere to the philosophy that one homeopathic medicine should not be mixed with another. Initially, I also followed this practice. However, I had to change my approach. The reason was that the time required to identify the single correct remedy was often not available. My heavy workload forced me to create compounds based on my knowledge and experience that would prove effective for the majority of patients. For those who did not benefit, I would provide alternative compounds, and for the few patients who remained at the end, I would treat them using the standard method. Thus, this is one reason for being compelled to create compounds. The Evolution of Medicines: The second reason is that the homeopathic method of treatment is being enriched with new medicines day by day. Medicines are being discovered that show better effects than previous ones, or provide cures where previous medicines could not. Therefore, when compounds are created, a new medicine essentially comes into existence. After all, most medicines already in use are simply natural compounds. For example, calling Nux Vomica a "single medicine" is not entirely accurate, as Nux Vomica is a naturally occurring compound of many substances. Therefore, I always evaluate my created compounds based on their final, reliable symptoms. It is not necessary for every symptom of the individual ingredients to remain present in the compound, as medicines can neutralize each other's effects internally. Consequently, the final form sometimes manifests a completely different effect.
